For truly exquisite food, Cliveden presents the exclusive setting of Waldo's Restaurant, where you'll dine surrounded by fine and original works of art. Waldo's provides both an atmosphere and range of culinary experiences which would have delighted all of the House's previous diners - from George Bernard Shaw to Lord and Lady Astor themselves.
Named after Thomas Waldo Story, the sculptor of the Fountain of Love in Cliveden's driveway, the emphasis is on providing an intimate, romantic (if the occasion requires it) and personalised setting where the wine, the service and the ambience all amaze in equal measure. With only ten tables, and a maximum group size of six, you'll be made to feel special, whether sharing a unique occasion, celebrating or simply indulging in fine food and wine.
Waldo's menu is the personal creation of Cliveden's Executive Head Chef, Carlos Martinez and is the culmination of his experience in eighteen Michelin starred restaurants throughout Europe. Carlos's style of cooking is classic, modern French with a Mediterranean twist, with clean favours. Always using fresh, seasonal ingredients, he is delighted with the variety and quality of produce available in the UK today.
Taking his inspiration from his training in France, his background in Spain and the numerous world-class chefs he has worked alongside, Carlos has designed Waldo's latest menu to offer a unique culinary experience to make sure guests go home with taste buds tingling and looking forward to their next visit!
Waldo's is open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 7pm. Reservations essential.
Reflecting the status of Waldo's, which is fully air conditioned, gentlemen are kindly requested to wear a jacket and tie.
