Veritas Rip Carcass Saw, 12 tpi

Carcass saws are extremely useful in furniture and cabinet construction for cutting joints in stretchers, dividers and drawer runners. Similar to a tenon saw but smaller, their size and balance makes carcass saws easier to manoeuvre. Available as either a rip cut saw with 12 tpi or a cross cut saw with 14 tpi, both saws feature high carbon steel blades with over moulded reinforcing spines. This spine is a blend of stainless steel powder for weight and glass fibre for strength held together in a specially formulated polymer binder. Both saw blades are mounted on to over sized, solid bubinga handles that are comfortable to hold and make the saws easy to operate and control. Blade length is 227.5mm, overall length is 410mm with a maximum cut depth of 60mm.
