Description
The Evoke 2-S is a DAB radio from Pure Digital. The Evoke 2-S boasts significant electronic, audio, cosmetic and functional improvements which make it the best Pure stereo digital radio yet.
The dedicated engineering team at Pure have worked hard to make it their best sounding portable radio yet, adding improved mid-range speakers and separate tweeters and driving them with Pure Clearsound technology. Clearsound is a completely new digital end-to-end audio subsystem which uses an integrated high-performance switch-mode power supply, high quality Class D amps, digital audio shaping technology and custom-toned speakers to provide clear dynamic audio with immense 30W RMS power, while maintaining low power consumption.
Very easy to use, the Evoke 2S includes ReVu to pause and rewind live DAB radio, Intellitext and textSCAN, improved alarms and sleep timer functions, more presets and the latest ChargePAK technology. In the Evokes classic real maple veneer casework this model also has an input for an iPod/MP3 player.
The Evoke 2-S can be run off the mains or taken out and about thanks to the optional 'fit and forget' ChargePAK E1 which gives up to 20 hours battery life
The Evoke 2-S is a member of Pures EcoPlus range and is Pures first radio to include a dedicated power off switch on the rear of the radio for those of you who would prefer zero power consumption. All of this lead to it receiving the What Hifi 2009 award for Best Desktop DAB between £100-£200.
