Pipex Ballast GRE System

Bondstrand 2000M and 7000M are glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) pipe systems which have been designed to withstand external pressures typical for ballast applications. Ameron developed a heavy wall pipe that met the IMO regulations and has since received 3rd party marine approval by Lloyds, Germanischer Lloyds, DNV, ABS, RINA, Bureau Veritas, Nippon Kaiji Kyokai and USCG.

Bondstrand 2000M and 7000M are filament wound GRE pipe systems from 1" - 40" (25 - 1000mm) with quick lock and taper adhesive bonded joints.

Feature & Benefit
One of the main features of GRE is corrosion resistance. GRE is highly resistant to both internal and external corrosion without the need for any surface preparation or special coatings. This reduces maintenance costs and eliminates expensive replacement works. Bondstrand GRE pipe is designed with a 25 year design life and in most cases out last the life of the vessel.
