The premium optics of our Ultravid binoculars demonstrate just what is technically possible today.
The 50 series with their extremely bright images and the universally popular 32 & 42 series both combine being ultra-light with being extremely strong and robust and at the same time deliver images with excellent contrast in an easy to use ergonomic design.
The new Ultravid HD class brings with it a multiplicity of improvements.
The new, fluoride containing, lenses (FL) further optimise the colour fidelity of the images and the Leica AquaDuraTM coating ensures a consistantly clear view, due to its water and dirt repelling properties.
The leather covered 42 mm Ultravid BL model looks especially elegant and is reminiscent of the legendary binoculars and cameras which made Leica famous. The leather covering allows its weight to be under 700 grams (24.7 oz).
Magnesium and titanium are the strengths of the 50 mm, 42 mm, and 32 mm Ultravid lightweights. A housing manufactured completely out of magnesium and the articulated axle made of high-strength titanium guarantee both a long life and an ultra light weight.
Easy to use and fabulous to look at: the newly designed central focusing device is an outstanding functional achievement. Technical precision is hidden in the most compact space. This new scale facilitates easy reading of the diopter values and the large focus wheel is easy to use. The extremely short focusing path of slightly more than one rotation also allows the optimum point of focus to be found quickly.
