The maxi system designed for gels up to 20 x 20 cm For gels up to 20 x 20cm, manufactured from rugged acrylic components, the V20 Semi Dry Blotter requires a very low buffer volume for transfers of proteins and nucleic acids. With a current of only 0.8mA per cm2, very little heat is produced. This prevents heat build up during the transfer and therefore prevents band distortion. Depending on the molecular weight of the molecules, involved transfers can be achieved in less than one hour. The positive electrode is manufactured from platinised titanum.
