Design and Development

We have an extensive 2D and 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) Department in England, and another in the USA. We are happy to work with either paper or electronic drawings.

Our specialist survey teams produce shop drawings of each unit to a predetermined clay shrinkage. Also, we will produce elevation and layout drawings to assist with installation on site, in accordance with your requirements.

For new construction projects, layout and elevation drawings are developed in conjunction with architects, engineers and contractors. We aim to be involved in the design process at the earliest stage, to assist you in developing projects that suit both design and manufacturing requirements. We offer an in-house rapid prototyping service for development of working models and mock-ups.

We have a modern laboratory for colour matching. We pride ourselves on our unrivalled capability in colour analysis and match development, using blended clays and glazes to create or replicate existing colours for new projects. With over 100 years of production, our extensive colour library allows us to match colours quickly, and we are always happy to develop new finishes and effects for your project.
