Description
Bodmin is one of the oldest towns in Cornwall. The Black Death killed half of Bodmin's population (1,500 people). The tin industry was a mainstay of Bodmin's economy. The Jamaica Inn, a coaching house built in 1750 on the edge of Bodmin moor and famous for being a smugglers base has been transported into modern day fame by Daphne du Maurier's novel and subsequent film.
