The Scie-Plas Capillary Blotting Unit features a permanent optimised wick system which eliminates the use of traditional overhanging filter wicks. This system draws up more fluid than conventional systems, thus ensuring faster and more even blots. Multiple gels can be transferred simultaneously, side by side in the same unit - simply by masking the area surrounding the gels. DNA transfer typically takes less than 2 hours whilst RNA transfer takes less than 3 hours. The floating lid ensures that an even pressure is applied without compressing the gel.
